Given many important senior client meetings in Houston this week, I only had a brief opportunity to visit Gastech 2024 – time very well spent at an excellent global energy industry event drawing in all major energy firms. Gastech 2024 provides an outstanding opportunity to catch up with many familiar energy executives and to compare notes on key gas industry, RNG, hydrogen, and other renewable energy trends.

Key topics discussed at the conference included the role of natural gas and LNG in providing energy security, supporting affordable energy transition by shifting from coal to gas, especially in countries with lower GDP/capita, adopting new business models to navigate the complex CCUS value chain, achieving decarbonization goals, and charting pathways to net zero in a changing global energy industry.
