Client situation
A leading independent power producer identified the need to investigate new transmission line projects with respect to potential for new renewable generation asset development and transmission capacity subscription
Project approach
In close cooperation with the client, SDI identified the ten most promising transmission projects for detailed profile development and conducted interviews to understand their current development stages, the related issues and risks, as well as the availability of firm capacity to tackle the identified projects
Outcome
SDI’s assessment resulted in clear prioritization of transmission projects to engage into capacity subscription discussions, readjustment of client’s regional strategy, and, most importantly, identification of promising new-build opportunities for renewable generation
